Abhinav Mishra is an associate attorney at Briglia Hundley whose practice focuses on family law, where he represents clients in matters involving child custody, divorce, and related domestic relations issues. Mr. Mishra drafts custody agreements, marital settlement agreements (MSAs), and other family law contracts tailored to his clients’ needs. Prior to transitioning to family law, Mr. Mishra practiced immigration law for nearly a year, appearing in immigration court for daily hearings and serving as lead counsel in approximately fifteen final merits trials on applications for asylum, withholding of removal, and protection under the Convention Against Torture (CAT). He also represented clients in asylum interviews before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and authored numerous trial briefs in support of his clients’ cases.

Mr. Mishra received his undergraduate degree from George Mason University in 2020 and his law degree from George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School in 2024. During law school, Mr. Mishra served as a research assistant to professors of contracts and constitutional law, where he assisted with editing law review articles and conducted legal research across a range of subject areas. Beginning in his second year of law school, Mr. Mishra also worked as a law clerk, part-time during the academic year and full-time during the summers, where he drafted appellate briefs to the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and immigration court briefs addressing asylum, withholding of removal, and CAT claims on behalf of the firm’s attorneys. After graduating, Mr. Mishra continued as a full-time law clerk while preparing for the bar examination, and was admitted to practice in April 2025 following the February 2025 administration.
