Attention Condominium Clients.

On 03/18/26 Fannie and Freddie are changing their Project Standards and Property Insurance Requirements.

Effective August 3, 2026. For project approval, you’ll need to increase the minimum reserve funding to at least 15% of the highest recommended funding level from your reserve study (baseline and threshold levels will no longer qualify. Is your budget prepared?

Effective immediately. Roofs still need to be insured, but the replacement cost basis requirement will no longer be required – actual cash value will be sufficient.

Effective July 1, 2026. The maximum allowable per unit deductible will be $50,000.
